Our Thrift Store Mission

The mission of our thrift store is to provide a sustainable source of funding for our organization’s programs and services while offering affordable goods to the community. We aim to support our mission of empowering all people who have experienced life-changing abuses due to domestic violence and sexual assault by generating revenue through the sale of donated items. Additionally, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals from all walks of life can shop, volunteer, and support our cause. Through our thrift store, we seek to promote sustainability, community engagement, and empowerment while making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

Since its establishment in 2018, the Rising Up From Silence (RUFS) Foundation has been dedicated to serving the community by providing comprehensive support to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Founded by Cheryl and Terry Hughey, RUFS has expanded its reach and impact through various programs, events, and initiatives aimed at promoting healing, stability, and empowerment for those affected by abuse.
